Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this K-Source passenger side replacement electric side mirror with the heat function. It is a custom fit part. It is designed to fit the 2016 to 2018 Toyota Tacoma vehicles. And on a custom fit part like this, I do like to recommend for you to go to our website, use the fit guide, putting your year and model vehicle, and it'll show if this will work for your application. Now this side view mirror is a direct replacement for the passenger side factory mirror on your vehicle.

It is modeled after the manufacturer's original look and fit. The housing is a nice durable plastic housing, has a nice black finish to it that can be painted. And as a matter of fact, when you do receive this, it'll come as two pieces. In other words, the cover's separate and if you do want it painted, you can paint it and then put it on there. The reason they ship it this way is because if you do install this cover on there without painting it, it's very hard to get off without breaking it.

So it is sent as a separate piece. Now they do offer the power remote capability. Now the power remote capability allows you to adjust your mirror face position with the factory power controls inside your vehicle. And we mentioned the glass on this is a heated mirror glass. It'll clear any frost or ice, helps reduce fogging.

And the glass is an OE grade convex glass with a first surface plating to reflect clear images. Front of the glass is plated with reflective chrome and it is a convex lens, so it provides a nice wide angle view that reduces blind spots. It is a breakaway design. Basically this mirror will fold when it's struck to prevent any breakage and it is an easy no-drill installation. You can see it has the same footprint and mounting points as the factory mirror and we mentioned, it plugs into your existing electrical wiring.

Now this does replace the original equipment part number of 8791004220. It is for a quantity of one passenger side mirror. A couple notes I wanna mention on this, the power remote capability and the heated glass of the mirror will work only if your vehicle already has those functions. The mirror does not have a turn signal, puddle lamp, or spotter mirror, and it does not support the BSDS, which is the blind spot detection system.
